Is Reddit banned in the Philippines?
On 22 September 2026, the government gave Reddit and Discord 24 hours to set up a local presence (Philippine News Agency). Reports on 23 September 2026 said Reddit had been given more time to comply with Philippine government requirements (TV5). We have not independently verified access across all Philippine networks. Is Tara Usap a Reddit replacement?
Tara Usap is a separate, independent community that's still being built. It's not a copy of Reddit and isn't connected to it. Use whichever places work for you. We hope Tara Usap becomes one of them.
When does it open?
We haven't set a date yet. People on the waitlist will hear first, by email, when early access opens.
